
OUR STORY
We made our first batch of homemade lingonberry liqueur in December 2016. A mixture of vodka, sugar, and lingonberries was left to simmer in a sauna for a couple of weeks. As a result, there was a wonderful mix of sweetness, tart aftertaste, and smooth alcohol. 'Let's call it 'Lingoncello'.
The word "Lingoncello" was not recognized by Google at this point. Introducing the concept around the world was necessary.
Lingoncello is joint venture of Mother’s Milk Beverages and Lignell & Piispanen. The first product line of Mother's Milk Beverages was Puolustuslaitos. Since its launch in 2015, Puolustuslaitos portfolio has become a national success in Finnish and travel retail markets.The story of Lignell & Piispanen started in 1852. Lignell & Piispanen creates unique award-winning brands using natural berries & Nordic design.
